September Favourites 2014

Is September really over? Where has the month gone? It feels like only yesterday that I started back at school. September has been a pretty hectic month for me and you may have noticed that I haven't been blogging as much. I am thinking that I may drop down to two posts a week but will post more if I am having a quieter week. Anyway lets get onto what I have been loving this month.

RIMMEL MATCH PERFECTION FOUNDATION// For school I like to wear foundation, nothing too cakey or full coverage. Since going back to school I have been using this foundation everyday as it is just a lovely every day foundation for me. The coverage is light but still buildable for days when my skin isn't looking it's best. The bright blue lid makes finding this bottle in the depths of my makeup bag so much easier. Also the rest of the packaging is spot on: a heavy glass bottle with a high end feel but a drug-store price tag. You can't really go wrong. When I run out of this foundation I am thinking of trying the new Rimmel Lasting Finish foundations. I'd love to know what you think of it if you have tried it!

BENEFIT BAD GAL WATERPROOF EXTRA BLACK LINER// Usually I am a liquid liner kind of girl all the way. In the summer holidays and the spring/summer months I wore black liquid liner every single day. It was trusty and reliable and I knew my liquid liner would last all day without me having to do any touch ups. For my birthday I received this liner, along with the Bad Gal mascara, but didn't start using it until this month. I can't believe I didn't use this before. The colour is an intense black, it glides on beautifully and lasts all day. Most days I have been choosing to wear this instead of my liquid liner as for school it looks a lot softer rather than a hard liquid liner. However it still defines my eyes beautifully.

MAYBELLINE COLOUR TATTOO ON AND ON BRONZE// In the summer I kind of ditched eyeshadow products and just went with a simple liquid line. But this month I have rediscovered my trusty colour tattoo and I don't know what I'd do without it. It lasts all day and this shade is a really shimmery golden bronze colour that is really flattering. Sometimes I will leave it as a wash of colour or I will apply shadows over the top and use it as an eye-shadow primer.

RIMMEL MOISTURE RENEW LIPSTICK IN NOTTING HILL NUDE// Because I am so pale I find it hard to wear and find nice nude shades that suit me. I saw that Lily Pebbles did a post on this a while ago and I loved how it looked on her. It is definitely probably the darkest nude shade I can get away with, any darker and it would verge on 'old women- esk'. But if I pat it into my lips it leaves a really pretty finish. As the name suggests the formula is lovely and nourishing and nowhere near drying at all. This lipstick reminds me of the famous Kylie Jenner lip; which I really like!

RIMMEL FRENCH MANICURE PRO POLISH IN FRENCH ROSE// It is only as I have sat down to write this, that I've realised I have included three Rimmel products. I really do love Rimmel! Like I said earlier September was a busy month for me and as much as it pained me, I just couldn't find the time to paint my nails every 2-3 days. As a result I whipped out this bad boy. This is designed to be the colour coat of a french manicure, but I like to use it on its own. It is a really pretty natural baby pink colour that makes your lips look really polished and put together. The best part is that it lasts 4 days without chipping and when it does you can't even notice it because the polish it such a natural colour. I have worn this pretty much all month and I love it! Though I can't wait to wear some darker autumnal colours now.

SAM SMITH// What can I say, this guy is amazing. His voice is angelic, his lyrics are beautiful and there is something about the way his music is all arranged and put together that just keeps me coming back for more. I honestly can't relive I didn't discover his music sooner. I have had his artist playlist on Spotify on repeat and I think I now know all the words!
