I am back with another #TeenBlogSeries post and Skincare isn't really something I talk about much because it is so personal and individual to everyone. Plus I am in no way a skincare expert - it has taken me ages to find a routine I am happy with and that mu skin likes.
REMOVING EYE MAKEUP//
I start my evening routine by using Bioderma to remove my eye makeup. Bioderma is quite hard to find but it is honestly the best thing to use because it makes removing stubborn eye products a breeze. I take a generous amount onto a cotton bud, hold it onto my eyelid for a few seconds and then just wipe all the gunk away!
CLEANSING//
It is so important to cleanse your face twice a day and it is a step that I never miss out. Even if I am in a rush in the morning or really tired before bed; I will always cleanse because my face doesn't feel clean other wise. Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish has been a huge staple in my skincare routine for years: I began using it when I was a spotty face kid and it cleared everything up. I know it's not the most affordable product but trust me if you have troubled skin (like most hormonal teenagers do!) then I would highly recommend it as it keep my skin under control. For those of you on a tighter budget, the No 7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser is a great alternative and I use this when my skin is looking better. It's a very similar cleanser I just find the Liz Earle one has better results!
EXFOLIATING//
Now this isn't a step that I do everyday but I like to try at do it at least once a week. I'm not sure if that is what you are supposed to do - but it works for me. At the moment I am using the Elemis Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash and I really like it. There is no harsh smell and even though it is a scrub my face never feels sore of sensitive after using it.
TONING//
Again like the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, I have been using this toner for year and it is so good. In the past I have used the spray version, but I just prefer using this one as I can pour it onto a cotton bud and wipe around my face.
MOISTURISING//
I use two moisturisers: one for the morning and one for the evening. In the morning I like to use quite a light moisturiser and this frequently gets changed around but currently I am using Nivea Refreshing Soft Moisturising Cream but I like lots from Nivea. Then at night I use a heavy duty moisturiser and I am still using the BeautyLab Overnight repair cream which I did a review on here but completely forgot to photograph... sorry! Anyway I still love this moisturiser and will be sad when I run out!
