Best Foundation and Brow Routine | #TeenBlogSeries

Teen Bloggers Anouska Millar and Beth have decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. For the next ten consecutive weeks, over 80 bloggers will be writing every Monday at 6:30pm about many different things, all beauty, lifestyle or fashion related. You can view everyone's posts by going to the hashtag on twitter "TeenBlogSeries". If you would like to get involved email: anouskateenblogger@googlemail.com.

I am not sure if this means your ultimate foundation and brow routine that is super long lasting or if it means the products you use most often and always go back to. I am interpreting it as the latter, so I will be sharing with you the foundation I have been wearing nearly every day and will continue to wear and what I do with my brows every day. When it comes to the make up I wear everyday for school and just going out and about, I much prefer a natural base. If I am just around the house I will wear a tinted moisturiser or just concealer but for school I prefer a light foundation. In my collection I have lots of base products: some tinted moisturisers for when I want a very light coverage, mineral powders on good skin days, very high coverage and long lasting foundations and the ones that I wear on an everyday basis.

At the moment I am really liking Rimmel's Match Perfection foundation and I have the shade 100 ivory. I find this a perfect colour match for me, earlier on in the summer when I was fake tanning this foundation was way too pale for me but over the past few weeks it has been perfect and I know as we move into Autumn and Winter I will use this pretty much every day. The coverage is light but you can build it up to a medium coverage without it  caking. Most days I do use a face SPF but I do really like that it has an SPF of 18, so on days when I forget my skin still has some protection against the sun. This probably sounds really silly but the fact it has a bright blue lid means it makes actually finding my foundation so much easier. I don't know about you but sometimes when it is in the bottom of your makeup bag it is like finding a bobbie pin in your bed room (which by the way is impossible). Sticking with the packaging, the glass bottle gives this bargain of a product a 'higher end' feel. It blends beautifully with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and I find that for day-to-day I only really need a pump to cover my whole face. I am blown away by this foundation it is blum-ming fantastic.

*You have been warned- the next paragraph may offend some of you beauty blogger brow babes out there *
When I comes to my brows I like to go au natural. Without trying to sound like I am boasting, I am actually really happy with my brows just the way they are. I love their shape and find they frame my face really well. On a morning I will brush through my brows with a spoolie and just keep on top of my plucking to avoid any hairs randomly out of place. Some of you may be a bit confused because I did a post on my Brow Trick For Newbies, which is a post I did on how I do fill my brows in. But I only ever do my brows when I have a full face of makeup and a heavy smoky eye makeup look as I find just filling them in slightly makes my face look more dramatic. I look like a kid playing around with her mums makeup when I fill my brows so I just stick to doing it when I am going for a dramatic look.

What is your best foundation and brow routine?

  1. Wow! You're lucky with your brows, I'll admit that I now won't leave the house without doing my eyebrows, which is quite sad. #blondehairproblems. You can hardly see them when they're not filled in! Just stumbled across your blog through Twitter and will be visiting again, such a swish layout! 1. I think if you have nicely shaped natural brows then there is no reason to mess with them! Thank you so much xx

  3. This might seem weird, but I love reading people's makeup routines so I really liked your paragraphs about foundation. As for eyebrows, if I don't pluck and thread my eyebrows become an eyebrow (dark hair problems). You're so luck with your eyebrows.

I am part of the #TeenBlogSeries too!

    1. I love reading people's makeup routines as well, I think it is interesting to see how people do their makeup because everyone is bound to do it differently!
