30 Day Snap #30 | BBQ & Reflection

Hey Peeps,

So my final snap for you guys today is of a BBQ that I went to this afternoon. The sun came out and it was a glorious day. I have even included two pictures for you, seen as it is the last snap. I also had my Grade 3 exam today. I was extremely nervous today, I made a few mistakes on my pieces but I am pretty confident with everything else. I will let you know how I got on when I get my results back which should be in 2-3 weeks.

Here is a selection of some of the snaps I have taken this month for this challenge.

I have really enjoyed doing this challenge for the whole of June. I know I have missed a few days out due to being really busy. But on the whole I feel I have done quite well. This challenge was harder than I first anticipated and I feel my photography skills have come on. I will be giving these photo challenges a break for a while as I have done two challenges in a row. But who knows I may do another challenge in the future!

Just a quick reminder that Google Friends Connect ends tomorrow so if you want to keep up to date with my posts then please follow my blog on Bloglovin.

30 Day Snap #28 & #29 | The Big Bang

Hey Peeps,
I was really busy yesterday, I am sorry I didn't upload a snap! With school I went to a Big Bang exhibition which was all to do with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (aka STEM). I had a great day out with my class mates and here is a picture of some of the planes or jets (not too sure...)!!!

June Favourites

Hey Peeps,
Another month is up so that means another monthly favourites! I am not going to waffle on too much so let get cracking...

Firstly I have been loving Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I won't talk about this too much as I have done a review on it already ( Click HERE to see the review). But I will say that it is a great foundation that I am using every day!

Next up is a nail polish I bought from Topshop, called Celestial, around my birthday (click HERE to see my Birthday Beauty Hall). I am not even kidding I have been wearing this polish all the time. Either on its own or with another colour. I am in love with this!
I have has Soap and Glory's Clean Girls Body Wash for a long time now. I used to use it all the time when I first got it and then I kind of forgot about it and started using other shower gels. But this month I needed to wean my way off Sanctuary's Body Wash, and I picked up my Clean Girls Body Wash again. This was a bad mistake because now I can't spot using this. Ooooppppss looks like I may have a Body Wash addiction!

Everyone has that one product that they have had forever and have no idea when or where they got it from and don't even know if you can buy it anymore it is so old. Well my product that is like that is from BodyShop and is the Shimmer Waves Blusher. This is a really pretty blusher that I tend to use on a daily basis. I love that it has waves of different shades of pink and I love the highlighter in their as well!

Last but not least is my Benefit They're Real Mascara. I am not going to waffle on too much about this mascara as I have recently done a review on it (click HERE to read my review). But I will say it is a fab mascara that makes my lashes unbelievably long, thick and full.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. Let me know which products you have been loving this month and please feel free to leave a link if you have done your June Favourites on your blog!

30 Day Snap #26 | New Carpet

Hey Peeps,

So I mentioned in another 30 Day Snap that we got a new fireplace and today we got the carpet fitted!! The colour is really pretty, it is like a light plum colour and it goes great with the wallpaper. I am thinking of doing a post showing you our living room when it has been fully decorated. Excuse the excessive amount of fluff on the carpet, it has only just been laid down and I think we may need to hover it because it is new.

30 Day Snap #25 | New Pens!!!

Hey Peeps,

Today my very kind mum bought me some new pens. I love stationary and it is one of my many weaknesses! I realised that all my school pens were running out and mum offered to pick me up some more. I am sorry the past few days haven't been interesting, nothing exciting has been happening recently!

Review | Benefit They're Real Mascara

Hey Peeps,

So a while ago I wrote a post for you all about the fab free gift ( Benefit's Travel Size They're Real Mascara) in the Elle magazine. Since then I have been using it everyday and thought it was about time I did a review on it for you!

At the moment this is my favourite mascara, and that is saying something because before I found this little beauty I was hooked on Soap and Glory's Thick and Fast Mascara (Click HERE to read that review). First off I just want to say that I am a huge sucker for Benefits cool packaging and original names. To be honest that is half of the appeal for me :)

Also this brush is fabulous. It make my lashes look so full, thick and long. When I first used this mascara all I could think was WOWZA!!! I find it separates my lashes well and you can add a second coat with out it clumping, this is down to the little "spikes" all over the brush which are designed to stop the mascara from clumping. The brush is a new style, it is a rubber wand as opposed to the traditional brush which I have been used to using.

On the packaging it claims that 94% of women saw dramatic length and volume - this is agree with as I definitely saw a dramatic difference in the length and volume of my lashes. It also claims that 90% of women saw base-to-tip curl- I have to admit it disagree with this statement as I found it did lengthen my lashes but didn't curl them as much as I would have liked. Finally it claims 100% saw long-wearing result- I would say that I think this is true. On my lashes the mascara lasts all day. It is so long lasting that I actually struggle to get it off at night (ha ha) :)

Overall I love this product and it is my go-to mascara. I love it so much that I accidentally (on purpose) bought another 2 of these mascaras. So I now have 3 travel size They're Real Mascaras- that's normal for a beauty obsessed teenager.. right?

30 Day Snap #23 | Maths Homework

Hey Peeps,
I am afraid yet again I haven't done anything exciting today. I feeling a little bit unmotivated and dull and this weekend I have pretty much spent the whole time in my bed writing blog posts! Anyway I did manage to catch up on some homework today and I am hoping I will feel more alive in the morning and have a better week.

Product Empties | May/June 2013

Hey Peeps,

This past week or so, I have had a bit of a writers block and haven't really been inspired to write anything on my blog. But today I have spent the whole day taking pictures, organising my blog posts and writing up loads of posts as well. I feel really pleased with everything I have got done. In the midst of my creative spark I had an idea to do a product empties post. I have been going through quite a lot of stuff recently and have began using up things that are nearly finished. Here are the products that I have used up in May/June.

Nivea Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream.

I love this moisturiser. If you have read my previous posts, you will know that at one point I owned 3 of these little beauties. They are really cheap but work wonders on my skin. I use this in the morning before applying my makeup! Click HERE to see a review I did on this moisturiser.

Liz Earle Instant Tonic
I have the travel size bottle here. This is an amazing toner and I would highly recommend it. I use a generous amount morning and night so that is why I have gotten through it so quickly.

Mitchum Advanced Control Deodorant.
Well what can I say. Who doesn't love a good deodorant, especially in summer time! I use this everyday and it works really well for me. I always have 2 of these somewhere in my bedroom handy for me to use ;)

Aussie Miracle Moist Conditioner
I often find washing my hair a chore, simply because I have so much of it. But since I have been using this conditioner with the shampoo (which I haven't finished yet) I have began to enjoy washing my hair. I will be repurchasing this sometime soon.

Satin Care Shave Gel
I have this stuff for ages and I am really pleased with how long it has lasted. I think it smells really nice and I never cut myself using this. So I am going to give this a huge thumbs up.

L'Oreal Paris Shine Shampoo.
I had a bit of this left so I just finished it up so I could buy some more hair products (cheeky). That's enough said really :)

So that concludes my May/June 2013 Product Empties post. I hope you enjoyed this and let me know in the comment section what products you have used up recently!!

30 Day Snap 22 | Pretty Flowers

Hey Peeps,

Today I am cheating ever so slightly. I took this photo a few days ago, because all I have done today is take pictures of products, edit my blog and write some fab new posts for you lovely people, I thought I would use it today because I don't have a snap of what I have been doing for you!!

30 Day Snap #21 | London Telephone Box

Hey Peeps,

Look what I made in Design Technology at school! I made it in woodwork and it took me 6 weeks to make. I am really proud of it and it is going to go in my bedroom as it is also London themed. I brought it home today, but was really nervous carrying it home as I didn't want to break it.

Would You Rather | Makeup Edition Tag

Hey Peeps,

I know I do a lot of tags, but I really enjoy doing them and I think it is a great way for you to find out more about me. Lets go...

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I would rather loose my lipsticks and lip glosses as I don't really consider them as important to me as my mascaras, eyeliners, pallets and eyeshadows.

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Well this one is a toughie, but I think I would rather chop off of my hair off. Because my hair is so thick it starts to grow out a while after it has been cut and if I could never cut it then I would look like I had a lions mane that looks like it is constantly being electrocuted ( not a good look ;P)

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
For me this one is no brainer, I would pick a pink cheek. I don't wear corals as they only really work if you are lovely and tanned and I am anything but tanned, I have skin as white as snow.

4. If you had £1,000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Makeup, I love shopping for makeup, wandering around all the beauty counters and trying new products. Imagine how much makeup you could get for £1000. It would be like makeup heaven!!

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
I am a big fan of eyeliner and can think of nothing worse than using lipstick as an eyeliner, just think how awful the texture would be...
I would defiantly use eyeliner as lipstick.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
I would pick Sephora purely because I would get bored of just one makeup brand. Whereas at Sephora you can try lots and lots of different brands.

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
Well seen as I am not very experimental with my lipsticks I would say I would just use one lip colour. Also I do love my eyeshadows and I love blending different shades so I wouldn't be able to cope with just one eye shadow colour.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter?
In the UK our summers don't get too hot, so I could probably get away with wearing winter clothes in Summer. I hate being cold and the thought of wearing shorts in the middle of winter make me shiver :/

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright Nails! I hardly ever wear dark nails so this is a straight forward answer for me.

10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?
Like I said before I am not a huge obsessive lover of lip products, but I do love my eyeliners and mascaras. So I would give up my favourite lip product which at the moment is Rimmel Lip Stain in Nude.

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Messy buns are my favourite hair style when I want to wear my hair up. I would go with a  messy bun.

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
I LOVE painting my nails, I do it every other day and I find it relaxing so there is no way on planet Earth that I would be able to never paint them again. Bye bye lip-gloss I am afraid I can never use you again!

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or Sharpie them in everyday?
This is making me cringe thinking I have to answer...
I would look so weird without my eyebrows, so it looks like I will have to sharpie them in. But I am going to have to find a colour that will match perfectly. I don't think I can pull off blue eyebrows...Mmmhhh...

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Even though I love my nail polish like they are my babies, but there is no way I could live without Makeup. Makeup helps me to feel good about myself, I think I would be very depressed without it. Also what would I write on this blog if I wouldn't wear makeup :)

Wake Me Up Foundation Review

Hey Peeps,

It feels like I haven't done a review in ages...
Recently in my latest haul I mentioned that I bought this from Boots for £8.99. The price isn't bad but is on the high end of the high-street foundations. This foundation has been sat patiently on my wish list for sometime and when my birthday rolled around, I was determined to go out and buy it.

When applying this it use about the size of a 5-pence-piece. Over the past few weeks I have really liked rubbing the foundation between my fingers and applying without a brush. I find that it goes onto my skin nicer and spreads out better as well. The finished look on my face is amazing and I look really awake and fresh.

However, as the day goes on I tend to find that my makeup slips and doesn't looks so great after a few hours. I have tried using a primer and setting it with powder, but it always slides off my face. I will keep using it, but I will have to keep topping up throughout the day!

Having said that, I love the dewy look it gives my skin and the best thing for me is the smell. I know that is really weird but it smells really good. There is nothing worse than having a product you like that smells awful. Lastly I like the slight shimmer that you can see in the bottle but comes out so subtle on your skin you can't see it.

I would give this Product a 3.5/5 purely because it doesn't last all day! Let me know what you think of this product.

So Long Farewell GFC

Hey Peeps,

I am sure many of you are aware that Google Friends Connect is shutting down on July 1st. This is absolutely outrageous. I don't understand why Google are taking it down because so many bloggers have worked really hard to get lots of followers.

But with every problem there is a solution. You can now follow my blog ( and lots of others) on BlogLovin. It is a really simple and cool way to read and follow all of your favourite blogs and also discover new blogs out there. Blogs on any platform, blogger or word press, can use this and I would definitely recommend checking it out!

30 Day Snap #17 | Tuba

Our family is very musical and we all play an instrument. Today I really enjoyed listening to my dad practising playing his Tuba. He has quite a small tuba and it is very old and battered. But nevertheless he has fun playing it.

30 Day Snap #16 | Craft & Street Fayre

Hey Peeps,
Seen as today is fathers day, we wanted to do something nice together as a family. So we ventured to the town next to ours and went along to their Craft and Street Fayre. The rain held off and all in all we had a fabulous day wandering around all the lovely stalls and listening to the live acts preforming. Here are a few more pictures I took:

Liz Earle Haul

Hey Peeps

A few weeks ago my family and I went to the Leeds Jewellery and Farmers Market. We had a lovely time looking at all the beautiful and intricate jewellery and enjoyed the smells coming from the scrumptious food at the stands. Whilst we were there my mum and I 'popped' into the Liz Earle shop, I say popped we were in there for nearly an hour (whoops!). I have been a huge fan of Liz Earle for many years, but have only ever made purchases online. So it was like Christmas being able to actually go into the shop.

Inside it was huge. The ground floor had on show their products and stands where you could try the products. On the second floor there was every single product of their and all their gift and travel sets. Including a quarter of the room for all the makeup products and there was a make up artist doing peoples makeup. Also there were skins where you could use the products and also a little library where you could all about skincare. There is also a third floor which is used for treatments that people have booked.

The staff and service were absolutely amazing and they were really smiley and helpful. I purchased the 200ml Instant Skin Boost Tonic and my mum purchased the Signature Foundation in 02 Ivory. When we arrived at the till the lady gave us 4 samples of the Sheer Skin Tint in different shades so we could try them out. Also she gave us a sample of their latest perfume and she gave us lots and lots of leaflets and booklets with lots of information and instructions on how to use the products. As well as that the lady offered to do my mums make up for free. It was really interesting watching her do my mums make up as it was the first time I had watched a professional doing it. The makeup looked gorgeous on my mum and I was really glad we went in to shop!

Day Trip To Oxford University

Hey Peeps,

Some of you may know already, but on Sunday I went down to Oxford for the day with my friends. I am going to just start by saying I had an amazing day. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to go to either Oxford or Cambridge University. So to be able to go and look around Oxford University was a big deal to me!

We started out trip by first going to Merton College. My dads friend actually works in Oxford so he gave us a tour and was able to take us into places that weren't open to the public. Morten College is set out like a French monastery because the first lecturers and scholars were from France. Merton College is where JRR Tolkien was an English Literature Professor. The tree in the beautiful garden is the tree where Tolkien used to sit and write The Lord of The Rings. (I have no idea what is under the tree, I think it may be equipment for a marquee or something)

Next we walked along the main high street in Oxford and I took a few snaps :) Along that street we came across sweetie heaven!! I couldn't resist taking pictures of all the yummy sweets. My favourite things in this sweet shop are the Harry Potter Chocolate Frogs, I have never seen these before and I got so excited :)

Next we went to Christ Church College where some of the Scenes from Harry Potter were set. Now because I am such a Harry Potter freak, I was so excited to be able to look around the stair case and the hall where the Great Hall was filmed. Some of you may have noticed that this stair case is the one they used when they filmed Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone in the scene where the first years were waiting to enter the Great Hall for the first time to be sorted by the sorting hat. It bring butterflies to think that this is the place where they filmed the scenes for the Great Hall!

Last but not least we went punting. I have to be honest at first I really wasn't looking to going punting and the boats were filthy and had loads of water in side them. But once we got going I had really good fun and I actually found it really relaxing. While we were punting, we saw another boat punting so I thought I would take a picture of them in action so you can all see what I am on about.

I hope you have enjoyed this kind of lifestyle post and let me know if you would like me to do more of these in the future. I apologise for the huge length of this post, but I didn't want to miss anything out!
